Mary, his wife quickly dyed, &, he maryed Judith, a maid servantt, by whom his first child Hanah was borne about the end of the 7th month. 1636.

Also vnto sonne Samuell my lot called the four acre lott, the lott of goodman Lewis between the land of Robert Seaver & the land of goodman Lewis, vnto him, &c. vnto Jonathan my son that lott lying on the great hill of 5 Acres —if my two frends, Phillip Eliot & Willnj Heath exchange it for land more convenient & vsefuli for my son, I give them full power so to doe. Also my lot of Comon wch was last divided vnto me by the towne, I give to my foresaid three sonns equally to be divided — wife to haue free liberty to fetch fyre wood. To dau. Many the bed & all that belongeth thereto wch her grandmother now lyeth vppon. If wife liue fyve years after the death of my mother, then she shall pay vnto my daughter Hanna six pound —if she dye before, then Iohn & Samuell & Jonathan to pay vnto her fyve pound. My land to be sould.—Vnto my brother Samuell Sixe pound, to brother Jonathan four pounds. —to sister Saiah three pound — to ray sister Hanna three pound—to sister Marah sixe pound wch I was to giue vnto her by my ffathers will—to be paid her at the age of one & twenty—vnto Georg Brand what he doth owe vnto mee —vnto my Mother all my wearing apparell—vnto Phillip Eliot what he doth owe mee, whom I doe make mine Executor. What is left to be divided between my Executor & my mother. What I was to haue by my ffathers will, after the death of my mother my two brethren, Samuett & Jonathan shall ^njoy it equally.     Immigration: The date in the record is 1633, however Anderson (2003) uses 1635 because of the dates placement. I have chosen to use 1633.

    Death: His death was recorded as 4 (9) 1644.

    The Rev. John Eliot, said of him in in journal, "Iohn Graues, a godley brother of the church, he took a deep cold, which sweld his head with rhume and ouercame his heart."

    John married Mary about 1628. Mary died about 1634 in Roxbury, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
