6. | Eadgar the Athling was born about 1048 (son of Edward the Atheling and Agatha von Braunschweig); died in 1126 in England. Other Events and Attributes:
- History: In 1069, Edgar joined Gospatric, the Earl of Northumberland, in his revolt against William. At the revolt's defeat, he fled to Scotland. Later he went to France, where he became the confidant of Duke Robert, the Conqueror's son. In 1198, he joined Duke Robert on the First Crusade. Later Henry I took him prisoner at Tinchebrai, and gave him an estate in England where he lived in obscurity.
