• History: Richard Currier and Thomas Macy were authorized to build a sawmill on the west side of the Powow River in 1656. Thomas Macy sold is interest in 1658, and Richard continued to operate the mill.
• Occupation: say 1636; He was a planter and a millright.
• Land/House: 1641, Salisbury, Essex County, Massachusetts; He received land in Salisbury, and again in 1642.
• History: 1646; Richard took the Oath of Fidelity.
• Land/House: 1654, Amesbury, Essex County, Massachusetts; He received land in Amesbury again in 1658, 1662, 1664, and 1668.
• Offices Held: 10 Mar 1660, Salisbury, Essex County, Massachusetts; He was appointed one of Prudential Men "to order all affairs given them in writing".
• Offices Held: 1661 to 1674, Salisbury, Essex County, Massachusetts; He was the Town Clerk.
• History: 14 May 1666; He was chosen to present a petition to the Massachusetts General Court to set a new town off of Salisbury, to be called Amesbury.
• Military: 1676; Though 60 years of age, he served during King Philip's War, for which service, his descendants drew land in what is now Buxton, Maine.
• Estate Admin: 6 Nov 1710; The estate of Richard Currier was administered by Capt. Richard Currier.
