After two years, both men would be allowed to have the rest of their families transported at the expense of Robert Giffard. Each man would be given a few head of livestock and one thousand arpents of land with the right to build on it, as well as the right to hunt, fish, and trade with the Indians. They partially complied, but refused to present the inventory which was required of all landowners. One 20 August 1646, the Governor ordered them to completely comply with their requirements.
