    • General Information: He was the 4th Earl of Salisbury, and also the Compte de Perche. He was an English nobleman and one of the most important English commanders during the Hundred Years' War.
    • Offices Held: 1409; On 26 October 1409, he was summoned to Parliament as the Earl of Salisbury.
    • Knighted: 1414; He was made a Knight of the Garter in 1414.
    • Military: 1415; He joined King Henry V in France and was at the Siege of Harfleur in 1415, and later at the Battle of Agincourt. Sir Thomas spent most of the rest of his life as a soldier in France, leading troops in the various skirmishes and sieges that were central to that part of the Hundred Years' War.

She was the granddaughter of the poet Geoffrey Chaucer. Alice was born about 1404. Her first marriage was to Sir John Philip, and her third was to William de la Pole, the 1st Duke of Suffolk. She became a Lady of the Most Noble Order of the Garter. She died 20 May 1475 and is buried at Ewelme Church, Ewelme, Oxfordshire, England.

    He was wounded at the siege of Orléans when a cannonball hit the tower he was in. He died days later without heirs.
