Thomas Merrick. He was born about 1620 in Wales. Tradition says that Thomas came from Wales, through Roxbury, thence to Springfield in 1636. There is evidence that he was in Hartford in 1638. Theirs was the third marriage in Springfield. Thomas became a freeman in 1655. After Sarah's death, on 21 October 1653 Thomas, married second, Elizabeth Tilley, in Springfield, Massachusetts. He deposed on 9 February 1690/91 in Springfield, Massachusetts, giving his age as 70 years. He died on Sunday 7 September 1704 in Springfield, Massachusetts.
