  (1) Deacon Nathaniel Sparhawk, the son of Deacon Nathaniel and Patience (Newman) Sparhawk. He was christened on 3 November 1667 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He served between 1716 and 1724 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, as a Selectman. He served again in 1726 to 1727, and 1730. He was chosen Deacon in 1724.
