In the Name of God Amen: I Ussilah Goodennowe of Dunheade St. Andrewe in ye County of Wilts widdowe beinge sicke in body, yet well in mynd of sound and p(er]fect memory: thankes be given to Allmighty god for the same: doe make, constitute & ordayne this my last will & testament in that manner as followeth(:] first principally I comend my soule into the hand of god & my body to the ground in sure & certayne hope of resurrecon to eternall lyfe through the satisfa[ ] meritts & mediaton of Jesus Christ the son of god, The second p(er]son in the eternell & most glorious Trinity, who takinge upon him the nature of man there suffered death on the crosse for my sins & rose agayne from the dead for my Justifitacon unto lyfe eternell: And for those temporall goods, the blessings my god in mercy hath bestowed on me in this lyfe, I give & bestowe them to his glory in manner as followeu.: first I give & bequeath to Ralph Goodennowe my Eldest son on[e]greate Chest & Nyne pounes [pounds) of currant English money. Item give & bequeath to John Goodennowe my second son on[e] Cupboard & on[e] coffer & Nyne pounes of Currant English money: Item I give & bequeath to Simon Goodennowe my Third Son on[e] bushell of wheate, on[e] bushell of Rye, My Second best barrell & Twenty pounes of likr currant English Money: Item I give & bequeath to Nathaniell Goodennowe my fourth Son My greate pan & Nyne pounes of like Curran: English money: Item I give & bequeath to Thomas Goodennowe my fyft[h] son a little breweinge kettle & Eighttene pounes of like cu~rant English Money: Ite(m] I give & bequeath to Ussilah Goodennowe r.::. Eldest daughter Twenty & eight pounds of like currant English Money: Item I give & bequeath to Dorothy Goodennowe my youngest daughter My best towlett, on[e] payre of blanketts, on[e] bolster, on[e] pillow, on[e] coffer & Eightene pounes of like currant English money: Iter.::give & bequeath to my sayd daughters Ussilah & Dorothy equally to be divided betweene them all my wearinge apparell, two pewter platters !, all my linnen Except Three payre of the courser sheetes, my sheetes give & bequeath to my Son Edmond Goodennowe: Item I give & bequeatr, to the p[ar]ish Church of Dunhead St. Andrewe aforesayd five shillings, Ite[m] I give & bequeath to the poore of the sayd p[ar]ish five shillings: Ite[m] I give & bequeath all the rest of my goods catteles & Chattells whatsoevr to my Son Edmond whom I alsoe make Executor of this my last wilt & Testament & enioyne [enjoin] to pay the Legacys above-mentoned w hin Two yeares after my death: lastly: . doe make my Cozen Walter Hayne of Semly & Thomas Hayne of Dunhead St. Mary both in the County of Wilts afore sayd the ovrseers of this my last will & testament: In wittnes whereof I have hereunto Sett my hand & Seale th~ eighteenth day of february in the [y]eare of our saviour JHS Nativity 1633[/4] according to the computacon of the Church of England:
