Before July 1196 Hawise, married third, Baldwin de Bethune Seigneur de Choques. She died 11 March 1213. |

He took up the cross in April 1177 He joined with the Count of Flanders assisting the Count of Tripoli in the siege of Harenc in November 1177. On 8 October 1178, he returned from the holy land. |

In August 1179, he attended the King of France on a pilgrimage to Canterbury. He was the ambassador to the Emperor in 1181, and to the King of France in October 1186. In 1184, he joined the Count of Flanders against the Count of Hainault. He was one of four generals appointed in May 1187, to wage the war with France, and on 1 September 1188, he burnt the town of Saint-Clair-sur-Epte. On 3 September 1189, he carried the Crown at the coronation of Richard I. |
