- In 309, he was crowned the King of Persia. [1]
- From 337 to 363, he was at war with Rome. He defeated Constantinus III, and in 363, attacked and defeated the Roman army lead by Julian, who was killed. He then made peace with Rome that was much in the favor of Persia. He later conquered Armenia. [1]
