• History: 19 Oct 1893; "Leslie Lotz, a well-known dry goods merchant, of Hollidaysburg, has created a social sensation by eloping with the wife of George Crawford. He lately sold extensive real estate interests, and is believed to have taken $10,000 with him. His wife and four children are prostrated with grief. The couple checked their baggage for New York under the name of John Wallace and wife, and the eastern police have been notified to arrest them.
