"He was a well-to-do landowner and a man of strong character." according to Marytn (1925). While he had only daughters, he raised ten boys, all of whom are mentioned in his will. On 19 July 1742 Joshua, at age 87, married thirdly Mary Buckmaster, at age 82 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. Joshua was 88 years old and Mary was 76 years old when they married. He died on Tuesday 27 June 1752 in Newton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. He was buried in the Newton Cemetery, Newton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, grave #301. Issue: 1.
