She was taken to court for slander, and being on probation for a prior offense, was sentenced "to reeave tenn lashes on the bare skine" or pay £10. It appears that all she paid was 5/ as the officer's fee, and was let off. Possibly she was lashed, but if so, there is no record of the punishment having been carried out.
    • Moved to: 1661, Kittery, York County, Maine; Robert and Florence removed to Kittery, settling on the land of Capt. Walter Barefoot without his permission.
    • Residence: 1690, Kittery, York County, Maine; She was living at the home of Anne Crockett, her board being partly paid by Joshua Downing, Florence being the grandmother of Joshua's wife. At that time she was known as Gamar Edge.

The first suit was dismissed for lack of jurisdiction and Peter won the second. The next year, he was charged and confessed to assaulting Roger Townsend as he was returning home from church on Sunday. The last mention of him, was in 1665, when he was sued by Capt. Francis Raynes.
