• Immigration: 1634; The Stebbins family came on board the Francis from Ipswich, England. Rowland was 40, Sarah, 43, Thomas 14, Sarah 11, John 8, and Elizabeth 6 years old. A serving "winche" accompanied them, aged 15 years.
• Married: 14 Jan 1639, Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts; Thomas Merrick. He was born about 1620 in Wales. Tradition says that Thomas came from Wales, through Roxbury, thence to Springfield in 1636. There is evidence that he was in Hartford in 1638. Theirs was the third marriage in Springfield. Thomas became a freeman in 1655. After Sarah's death, on 21 October 1653 Thomas, married second, Elizabeth Tilley, in Springfield, Massachusetts.
