    • Military: 1676; He served as a chaplain during King Philip's War and was at the battle of the Falls under Capt. Turner, 18 May 1676. During the retreat from the battle, he was separated from the rest of the force. The Indians found him but refused to accept his surrender owing to his being mentally unbalanced. Hope finally reached home, though he was in a state of hallucination. He died year later.
