William de Ros, Lord Ros of Hamlake

• Military: 26 Aug 1346; William de Ros lead the second brigade at the Battle of Crécy. Later, he commanded Newcastle-upon-Tyne at the time of the defeat of David Bruce, King of Scotland. In 1348, he was with the Black Prince at the siege of Calais.
• Married: say 1350; Margaret de Neville, the daughter of Ralph de Neville, Lord Neville of Raby and Alice de Audley. [Margaret, married first, William de Ros Lord Ros of Hamlake] After William's death, on 12 July 1358 Margaret, married second, Sir Henry Percy KG, Lord Percy and Earl of Northumberland, at age 16, son of Sir Henry de Percy, Lord Percy and Mary of Lancaster, in Brancepeth, Durham, England. She died in 1372 in England. They had no children.
• Offices Held: 25 Nov 1350; He was summoned to Parliament from 25 November 1350 to 20 November 1351.
