• Other Will: 1625; Neither he nor any children were mentioned in the 1625 will of his father or in the 1650 will of his brother George. But as heir at law of his father, there was no requirement that John be mentioned in his father’s will. And, in fact, a 1617 Wakefield court roll names John as his father’s son and heir, as follows: “Witness that in a bargain of sale from Robt. Binloffe in the County of Lancaster and Mary his wife on the one part to John Fairbank, son and heir to John Fairbank of the Haigh in the County of York yeoman on the other part.”
