• History: say 1849; Juste at the age of 18, obtained a license from the government to teach in public schools. He remained a teacher for 40 years. after the death of his wife, he taught in several seminaries, finally returning to Caraquet. He was also a justice of the peace, a lieutenant in the militia and an officer of fishing and colonization. He was actively involved in the settlement of Trudel and Paquetville, New Brunswick.
• Married: Abt 1850, Caraquet, Gloucester County, New Brunswick, Canada; Vénérande Pinet, the daughter of Pierre Pinet and Marguerite Légère.
