    • Married: 1863; Margaret Fox, the daughter of John and Rachel (Mathias) Fox. She was born 4 February 1839 in Sinking Valley, Pennsylvania and died 8 January 1914 in Tyrone, Pennsylvania. Her Obituary reads ""Died Thursday in Sinking Valley of Pneumonia "Mrs. Margaret Fleck, wife of the late Martin Luther Fleck, died this morning (sic) at the home of her daughter Mrs. Rebecca Black, near Skelp, Sinking Valley, of pneumonia. Mrs. Fleck had been in failing health for some time past and last week she caught a heavy cold which terminated in pneumonia. She gradually grew weaker until the summons came this morning at 8:40 o'clock when she fell peacefully asleep. Mrs. Margaret Fox Fleck was born in Sinking Valley about 75 years ago; her husband preceded her to the grave in 1902. Early in life she united with the Lutheran church of Tyrone and died rejoicing in that faith. Surviving to mourn the death is one daughter, Mrs. Rebecca Black, one brother, Reuben Fox, and one sister, Miss Mary Fox, all of Sinking Valley." - Tyrone Herald, 15 January 1914. Issue: 1.     • History: 1902; His obituary reads "Martin Luther Fleck, formerly a resident of Tyrone, died very suddenly Friday morning at his home at Scalp Level in Sinking Valley. He had been in poor health for some time but had no alarming illness. After a hearty breakfast on Friday he started to go to his stable and a few minutes later his wife found him overcome by heart failure and leaning against a tree. She assisted him to the house where he died a few minutes later. The deceased was aged 64 years. He is survived by his wife, and one daughter, Mrs. Harry Black, of Tyrone. One sister, Mrs. Jane Keatley, of Nebraska, also survives him. Mr. Fleck resided in Tyrone for several years until about six years ago when he returned to Sinking Valley, which had been his place of residence most of his life. He was a member of the First Lutheran church of Tyrone. he was also a member of Sinking Valley castle, knights of the Golden Eagle, an order in which he has long taken great interest, and in which he has held the office of district chief for several years. The funeral will take place Sunday Rev. F.L. Bergstresser conducting the services at 2 o'clock at the late home of the deceased.
