Elizabeth was tried, found guilty, and fined 10/ on 27 September 1653 for wearing a silk hood and scarf. She was of too low a station to wear such finery according to the law. Issue: 1. • Married: Abt 1671; Mary Baxter, the daughter of Nicholas and Ann Baxter. She was born in December 1639. On 5 September 1660 Mary, at age 20, married first, Thomas Buttolph, at age 23, son of Thomas Buttolph and Anne Harding, in First Church, Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. She left a will on 12 January 1711 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. Mary died on Thursday 27 March 1721 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. Her estate was probated on 10 April 1721 in Suffolk County, Massachusetts. Issue: 1. Benjamin Swett (1673-____) 2. Phebe Swett (1674-____) 3. Anna Swett (1674-____) 4. Elizabeth Swett (1676-____)

Married:
Anderson (2011) states there is no record of Elizabeth Taylor found in New England. The published Boston and Newbury records do not show the marriage, however Stackpole (1913) states it was in October 1851 in Newbury. As the Elizabeth Taylor reported by Anderson (2011) was 10 when she was listed on the passager manifest, then she was 26 at the time of the wedding. I am assuming they are one in the same person, but I have no proof.
