She immigrated in 1671 to Québec, Canada, bringing goods for a dowry worth an estimated 300 livres. Catherine was a Filles du Roi (King's Daughter). A contract for the marriage of Catherine and Jacques Bluteau was signed on 21 October 1671. The contract was annulled before the marriage. On 23 November 1671 Catherine, at age 17, married first, Étienne Mesny, son of Jean Mesny and Marie Cané, in Ste-Famille, Île d'Orléans, Québec, Canada. After Étienne's death, a contract for the marriage of Catherine and Jean Paré was signed on 10 May 1709 which he could sign, but she could not. They had no children.
