He received land in Amesbury in 1659 and 1662. Samuel was listed as a "townsman" in Amesbury in 1676. He took the Oath of Allegiance in December 1677. He was a Representative to the Massachusetts General Court from Amesbury in 1689. He was a soldier in the Falls Fight under Capt. Turner, 18 March 1676. His will was made 6 March 1716.
