• Military: From 1189 to 1192; He accompanied King Richard I on the Third Crusade, reaching Acre on 8 June 1191. He was with the King at Jaffa on 10 January 1191/92, and in June he faught in the battle when Richard captured the Saracen convoy at El-Khuweilfe.
