- In 95 BCE, he was crowned the King of Armenia. [1]
- Through conquest, he added territory in northern Mesopotamia, Syria, and Cappadocia. This brought him into conflict with Rome, which attacked. He was defeated and surrendered to Pompy in 66 BCE. Thereafter Armenia was a vassal state of the Rome. [1]
