MRS. VERA DRILLEN NORTHAMPTON, Mass.-Mrs. Vera (Lord) Drillen, 85, of 117 Hayden Street, Orange, widow of Ernest F. Drillen, died Wednesday at a Northampton hospital following a long illness. Born at Hermon, Maine, April 27, 1882, she was the daughter of Herbert and Sarah (Mayhew) Lord. She had been a resident of Northampton for several years before moving to Orange. She was a member Of the Episcopal Church at Athol and the Grange at Orange. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. George Brown of Northampton, Mrs. S a v i 1 1 e Crabtree of Easthampton, Mrs. Charles Wood of Staten Island, N. Y.; two sons, Norman Burnett of Albuquerque, N. M., Raymond Burnett of Fort Ogden, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Pierce and Mrs. Hazel Storming, both of Hudson, Maine, Mrs. Gladys Ryder of East Corinth, Maine; three brothers, Charles and Lee Alexander, both of Hudson, Maine, Decatur Alexander of Bangor, Maine; 29 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at the Newell-Northamp-ton Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Henry Ramsey, assistant rector of St. Johns Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery. |
