     Louise C. Sahr was born on 6 November 1887 at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.1,2,3,4 She was the daughter of Albert M. Sahr and Margaret Elizabeth Merdian.

Louise C. Sahr married James Tate, son of Joseph Tate and Jane Cooper, circa 1908.

As of 1908,her married name was Tate. Louise, age 22 years, appeared on the US Census of 1910 at 205 Brangton Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, She was a boarder and a servant for a private family.9 She and James Tate obtained a marriage license on 29 August 1912 at Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.10 Louise, age 32 years, and James, age 46 years, appeared on the US Census of 1920 on 413 Hammond Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.8 Louise, age 42 years, appeared on the US Census of 1930 on 650 Robinson Street, Los Angeles, California, She was a saleslady in a department store. Her husband was not recorded.11 Louise, age 52 years, appeared on the US Census of 1940 on 954 Vanango Avenue, Los Angeles, California, Her husband was not recorded.12 Louise, age 62 years, appeared on the US Census of 1950 on 1720 Hillhurst Avenue, Los Angeles, California, Her husband was not recorded.13 She died on 2 January 1974 at South Pasadena, Los Angeles County, California, at age 86.2,14,3,4 Louise was buried on 5 January 1974 at Calvary Cemetery, East Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California.14,4 Louise's obituary of 7 January 1974, reads:

Mrs. Louise Tate (86 years) widow of James Tate passed away Jan. 2, 1974. Mrs. Tate was a native of Pittsburgh, Pa., and lived in South Pasadena for the last ten years. She is survived by her son John C. Tate, with whom she lived, of South Pasadena and two daughters, Mrs. Theodore R. Lawson of Las Vegas, and Miss Mary Louise Tate of Los Angeles. Four sisters, Mrs. William Sigmund, Mrs. Gertrude Hanley, Mrs. Letty Nusser and Mrs. Marie Love, all of Pittsburgh, Pa. One brother, Francis Sahr of Huntington Beach, Calif. Seven grandchildren, Rosary was held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4. Funeral Mass 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5. Both services were held at Holy Family Church, South Pasadena. Entombment in Calvary Mausoleum, Los Angeles. Cabot & Sons of Pasadena, directors.
