Quinn died on 28 September 1889 at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, from burns suffered when Furnace C at the Edgar Thompson works broke.1,2,7 Michael was buried on 30 September 1889 at Saint Mary Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.2
