Birth: There seems to be two competing years for Katie’s birth, 1858 and 1863. In looking at the 1860 US Census, it became clear that there are two Catherines. One born in 1858 and gone born in 1862. It is supposed the first died before 1862. To confuse matters it is 1864 on her death certificate.
