     Joseph Bell was born on 17 February 1816 at Davenport, Devonshire, England.2 He was the son of Georoge Bell and Margaret Creco.1 Joseph Bell was christened on 10 March 1816 in the Stoke Damerel, (now Stoke), Plymouth, Devonshire, England.2 He immigrated to New Brunswick, British North America.

Joseph Bell, age 24, married Hannah Whelpley, age 22 , daughter of William Whelpley and Mabel Thomas, on 16 May 1840 at the Wesleyan Mission, Saint John, Saint John County, New Brunswick, British North America.

Joseph's obituary of 31 December 1856, reads:

d.Monday eve., 29th inst., Joseph BALL s/o George BALL, Esq., age 41, left widow, family. Funeral Thursday one o'clock from his residence Wyse Point Mills.2
