     Andrew Rogers J.P. was born in January 1864 at Spring Glen, Wawarsing, Ulster County, New York.2,3 He was the son of Robert Searles Rogers and Marietta Lynch.1 Andrew, age 6, appeared on the US Census of 1870 living at Mamakating, Sullivan County, New York,in the household of his parents, Robert Searles and Marietta Rogers.4 Andrew Rogers J.P.appeared on the census of 1875 in the household of Robert Searles Rogers and Marietta Lynch.5 Andrew, age 16, appeared on the US Census of 1880 living at Phillipsport, Mamakating, Sullivan County, New York,in the household of his parents, Robert Searles and Marietta Rogers.6

Andrew Rogers J.P., age 18, married Mary M. Travis, age 20 , daughter of William Travis and Eliza Maria Schoonmaker, on 25 November 1882 at Phillipsport, Sullivan County, New York.

Andrew, age 36 years, and Mary Travis, age 37 years, appeared on the US Census of 1900 at Mamakating, Sullivan County, New York.2 Andrew, age 46 years, and Mary Travis, age 47 years, appeared on the US Census of 1910 at Mamakating, Sullivan County, New York.8 He was a Justice of the Peace.3 According to the Federal Census in 1910, Andrew was a barber.8 Andrew, age 51 years, and Mary, age 52 years , appeared on the New York State Census of 1915 at Mamakating, Sullivan County, New York.9 Andrew, age 56 years, and Mary Travis, age 57 years, appeared on the US Census of 1920 at Mamakating, Sullivan County, New York.10 According to the Federal Census in 1920, Andrew was a barber.10 He died on 26 March 1923 at Phillipsport, Sullivan County, New York, at age 59. Andrew took the Andrew Rogers, a lifelong resident of Phillipsport, where he served as Justice of the Peace and conducted a barber shop, died on March 26, of a complication of diseases, after three years' illness, at the age of 59 years.

Mr. Rogers was born at Spring Glen, Jan. 2, 1864, a son of Robert Rogers and Mary Lynch. He was united in marriage Nov. 25, 1882, at Phillipsport, to Mary Travis. He had spent all his life in the vicinity where he died. He was a member of the Methodist Church and also of the Maccabees.

The surviving members of the family are the widow, three children, Lizzie, wife of James F. Waters, and Frankie, wife of Elmer Wood, of Goshen; George Rogers, of Phillipsport. The following brothers and sisters also survive: E. Rogers, of Cornwall; Denham Rogers, T. Rogers and Mrs. Thomas Bailey, of Keyport, N.J; and Mrs. George Chandler, of Brooklyn.

Interment in Phillipsport Cemetery.
