     Irene Frances Burnett was born on 22 April 1937 at Northampton, Massachusetts.1,2,3,4 She was the daughter of Murvil Francis Burnett and Irene Francelia Eddy. Irene, age 3, appeared on the US Census of 1940 living at 5 Market Street, Northampton, Massachusetts,in the household of her parents, Murvil Francis and Irene Francelia Burnett.5 Irene, age 12, appeared on the US Census of 1950 living at Apartment 164, 73 East Main Street, Orange, Massachusetts,in the household of her parents, Murvil Francis and Irene Francelia Burnett.6 As of 27 August 1955,her married name was Gernon.

Irene Frances Burnett, age 18, married Alfred E. Gernon, age 23 , son of Arthur Joseph Gernon and Bertha Precelia Guertin, on 27 August 1955 at St. John's Episcopal Church, Athol, Massachusetts.1,7 Irene and Alfred's wedding announcement of 29 August 1955, reads:

ORANGE — Miss Irene Frances Burnett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Murvil Burnett of Rockville, Conn', formerly of Orange, was married in St. John's Episcopal Church. Athol. Saturday at to A1-c Alfred Gernon of Laredo, Tex. The ceremony had been scheduled for Aug. 20, but due to flood conditions had been "postponed until Saturday.

Rev. Archer Torrey, of St. John's, performed double ring service. Edgar Stockwell church organist, church accompanied Miss Gracia Fisher, Athol soloist who sang "*Panis Angelicus" and the traditional wedding hymn, "Oh Perfect Love".

White carnations were on the altar and pew decorations were white gladioli tied with satin ribbon.

The bride's niece. Miss Rita Hutson of Manchester, Conn., was her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Dorene Ward and the Misses Irene Rosinur of Rockville and Jean Hammel of and Manchester. Sharon Rosjnur was flower girl and Alfred Riopelle of Erving, a nephew of the bride was ring -bearer.

Wiliam Caruso of Rockville Gernon's best man Ushers was were David Hutson of Manchester. Francis Boudreau and Richard Gore of Erving.

The Bride wore a gown of lace and tulle. overwhite satin, with train. She carried Rainbow Girl Bible on which was a white orchid tied with streamers of sephanitis and satin ribbon

Miss Hutson's gown was of Miss white tulle with lace bodice over yellow satin with a bolero jacket. She carried yellow rose in cascade arrangement. The gowns the three bridesmaids were of similar style and material but were over lavender Their bouquets were cascade and of white roses.

Following the ceremony was A reception at Millers River Grange Hall, Orange, where A buffet luncheon was served with Mrs Alfred ha Riopelle of Erving. A sis of the bride. as hostess Another other sister, Mrs Daniel Hutson Jr. registered guests and Richard Gore served the wedding cake.

Music for the reception and dancing 11 AS by- Benny Duguay, and his orchestra.

For her trip to Texas, where the couple will live. the bride wore a beige outfit with navy accessories She attended Orange High School when her family lived on East Main Street transferring to Rockville High school when the family moved there two years ago.

In 1983 Irene lived at Pomona, Los Angeles County, California.4 Irene was known to be living in 1994 at Upland, San Bernardino County, California.4 In 2005 Irene lived at Hemet, Riverside County, California.4
