     Murvil Francis Burnett was born on 13 September 1900 at Holyoke, Massachusetts.1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 He was the son of Francis William Burnett and Vera May Lord. Murvil Francis Burnett went by the nick-name of Buck. Murvil, age 9, appeared on the US Census of 1910 living at West Street, Stafford, Connecticut,in the household of his parents, Francis William and Vera May Burnett.9

Murvil Francis Burnett, age 18, married Irene Francelia Eddy, age 17 , daughter of Lewis George Eddy and Bessie Eliza Parents, on 20 January 1919 at Amherst, Massachusetts.2,3,1,10 Murvil, age 19, appeared on the US Census of 1920 living at 20 Whitney Street, Amherst, Massachusetts,in the household of his wife's parents, Lewis George and Bessie Eliza Eddy and his wife, Irene.11 According to the Northampton, Massachusetts, City Directory, 1926, he lived in 111 Pleasant Street, Northampton, Massachusetts. He was listed as a chauffeur.12 Murvil, age 29 years, and Irene, age 28 years, appeared on the US Census of 1930 on 111 Pleasant Street, Northampton, Massachusetts.13 According to the Federal Census in 1930, Murvil was a taxi driver.13 Murvil, age 39 years, and Irene, age 38 years, appeared on the US Census of 1940 on 5 Market Street, Northampton, Massachusetts.14 According to the Federal Census in 1940, Murvil was a taxi driver.14 On on 16 February 1942, Murvil registered for the World War II draft, while living at 3 Market Street, Northampton, Massachusetts, giving his age as 41 and he was self employed at the Sinclair Station in Northampton.7 According to the Holyoke, Massachusetts, City Directory, 1944, he lived in Holyoke, Massachusetts.12 Murvil, age 49 years, and Irene, age 48 years, appeared on the US Census of 1950 on Apartment 164, 73 East Main Street, Orange, Massachusetts.15 According to the Federal Census in 1950, Murvil was the prorietor of a filling station.15 1951, Murvil joined the Orange Lodge of the Masons. At that time he was a service station owner.5 In 1963, the year Murvil died, he lived at 20 Thompson Street, Rockville, Connecticut.16 He died on 10 December 1963 at Manchester, Connecticut, at age 63.16,8,5 Murvil's obituary was published on 13 December 1963;

ORANGE — Funeral services for Murvil Francis Burnett, Sr., 63, of Rockville, Conn., former resident here who died Tuesday night at Manchester, Conn., Memorial Hospital after a heart attack, will be Friday from Witty Funeral Home. There will be Requiem Eucharist at St. John's Episcopal Church, Athol, at 9. Rev. Harry F. Finkenstaedt, rector, will - officiate. Burial will be in South Cemetery, Orange. Calling hours at the funeral home will be today from 3:30 to 9 p.m. The family has requested flowers be omitted and contributions made to the Heart Fund.

Members of the Orange Masons will conduct the Masonic services at 7 tonight.

Burnett was born in Holyoke on Sept. 13, 1900, son of Frank W. and Vera (Lord) Burnett. He married the former Irene Eddy, who survives him. He has lived in Orange for many years before moving to Rockville, Conn., 11 years ago.

While in Orange he operated a service station on East Main Street.

He was a member and past master of Millers River Grange, member. of Orange Lodge Masons, AF and -AM, and the Orange Eastern Star. At the time of his death, he' was employed at the Pratt & Whitney plant in East Hartford.

Besides his widow he leaves six daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Hutson of Thompsonville, Conn., Mrs. Bessie Leonard of Orange, Mrs. Marguerite Riopal of. Erving, Mrs. Beverly Boudreau of Athol, Mrs. Vera Starkey of California, and Mrs. Irene Gernon of Florida; a son, Murvil, Jr., of Chicopee: 23 grandchildren and four great - grandchildren.
