Dorothy Irene (Burnett) Hutson
     Dorothy Irene Burnett was born on 3 March 1921 at Northampton, Massachusetts.1,2,3,4,5,6 She was the daughter of Murvil Francis Burnett and Irene Francelia Eddy. Dorothy Irene Burnett went by the nick-name of Dot. Dorothy, age 9, appeared on the US Census of 1930 living at 111 Pleasant Street, Northampton, Massachusetts,in the household of her parents, Murvil Francis and Irene Francelia Burnett.7 As of 15 July 1938,her married name was Hutson.

Dorothy Irene Burnett, age 17, married Daniel David Hutson, age 21 , son of John Richard Hutson and Elizabeth Beverly, on 15 July 1938 at the Aiken, Aiken County, South Carolina.

Dorothy, age 18, appeared on the US Census of 1940 living at Fording Island Road, Bluffton, Beaufort County, South Carolina,in the household of her husband's widowed father, John Richard Hutson and her husband, Daniel.8 Dorothy, age 28 years, and Daniel, age 32 years, appeared on the US Census of 1950 on 15 Maple Street, Manchester, Connecticut.9 According to the Federal Census in 1950, Dorothy was a salesgirl in a department store.9 When her father died, in June 1963, Dorothy lived at Thompsonville, Connecticut.10 She died on 5 April 2016 at Polk County, Florida, at age 95.4,6 Dorothy's obituary of 14 April 2016, reads:

Dorothy Irene (Burnett) Hutson, 95, of Lakeland, Florida, and formerly of Rockville and Enfield, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016.

Born March 3, 1921, in Northampton, Massachusetts, to Murvil and Irene (Eddy) Burnett, she was the loving wife of the late Daniel D. Hutson Sr. for 58 years. A longtime Connecticut resident, she retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft after many years of service. She enjoyed the Red Sox, cooking, bowling, shopping, and reading. She was proud to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses, was an active member of the Vernon and Lakeland congregations, and read the Bible daily.

She is survived by her daughter, Rita M. (Hutson) Drake and her husband, Wesley, of Lakeland; and her son, Daniel D. Hutson Jr. and his wife, Kathleen, of Andover. She was the loving grandmother of 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She leaves her sisters, Beverly O'Brien, of Massachusetts, and Vera Starkey and Irene Gernon, of California; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins,and friends. She was predeceased by her son, Clifford G. Hutson Sr; her sisters, Bessie Freeman and Marguerite DeLonge; and her brother, Murvil Burnett.

Funeral services will be private.

Dorothy was buried at Elmwood Cemetery, Vernon, Connecticut.4
