Horace William Whelpley

     Horace William Whelpley was born on 31 May 1870 at Saint John, Saint John County, New Brunswick, Canada.^1,2,3,4 He was the son of Captain David C. Whelpley and Harriet Jane Pangbourne. Horace appeared on the Canadian Census of 1871 at Lepreau, New Brunswick, Canada, in the household of his parents, David C. and Harriet Jane Whelpley.⁵ Horace appeared on the Canadian Census of 1881 at Lepreau, New Brunswick, Canada, in the household of his parents, David C. and Harriet Jane Whelpley.⁶ Horace William Whelpley was naturalized on 31 August 1894 at Montpelier, Vermont.³

Horace William Whelpley, age 24, married Esther Agnes Matthews, age 20 , daughter of Joseph Matthews and Jane Elisabeth Pareau, on 4 October 1894 at the Montpelier, Vermont.^2,4 Horace William Whelpley died on 15 March 1896 at Montpelier, Vermont, at age 25 from consumption (tuberculosis.)^1,2,4 Horace was buried at Green Mount Cemetery, Montpelier, Vermont, He shares the plot with his parents.
