Madeleine Chalets was the daughter of François Des Chalets and Jacqueline Chevallereau.1 Claude and Madeleine Chalets, accused Françoise LeClerc, also a Kings Daughter, of having a baby aboard ship. They also called her a whore. Françoise's husband, Michel Rifault, brought a complaint to the Conseil Sauverain against the twin sisters. They found the accusation baseless. Claude and Madeleine had to pay damages of two minots of wheat to Michel Rifault, and one minot to the poor of the Hospital of Québec.1,2
