     Catherine Aylward was christened on 8 April 1789 in the Rochestown, County Cork, Ireland.1 She was the daughter of James Robert Aylward and Mary Forestal.1 Catherine Aylward immigrated to Newfoundland and Labrador.

Catherine Aylward, age 14, married James Sullivan on 10 August 1803 at the St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador.2,3 As of 10 August 1803,her married name was Sullivan. Catherine Aylward died on 18 September 1816 at King's Cove, Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador, at age 27.4,5 Catherine was buried at Kings Cove New Roman Catholic Cemetery, King's Cove, Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador.6
