Clara Elizabeth Kramer was born on 20 August 1875 at Braddock, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Andrew Kramer and Margaret Baker. Clara, age 6, appeared on the US Census of 1880 living at 899 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,in the household of her parents, Andrew and Gabriel Kramer.2 Clara, age 24 years, and James Quinn, age 24 years, appeared on the US Census of 1900 at R1 Washington Avenue, Braddock, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Clara Elizabeth Kramer and Congressman James Leland Quinn obtained a marriage license on 23 May 1900 at Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.3,4 As of 24 May 1900,her married name was Quinn.3

The marriage of Mr. James L. Quinn and Miss Clara Kramer, of Braddock, was solemnized this morning at 7 o'clock in St. Brendan's church, Braddock, by Rev. Father P. Molyneaux. Only the immediate relatives were present at the nuptials. Mr. Mercer Quinn, of Duquesne, a brother of the groom, was best man, and Miss Annie Kramer, a sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. A bridal tour will be dispensed with till later in the summer, and Mr. and Mrs. Quinn will go to housekeeping immediately.
