     John Woodman was born on 20 July 1710 at Newbury, Province of Massachusetts Bay.1,2,3,4,5 He was the son of Deacon Archelaus Woodman and Hannah Swett.

John Woodman, age 31, married Abigail Tarr, age 21 , daughter of Joseph Tarr and Sara Sargent, on 11 November 1741 at Newbury, Province of Massachusetts Bay.

John was mentioned in the will of his father, Deacon Archelaus Woodman on 4 November 1762 at Newbury, Province of Massachusetts Bay.1,3 His estate was probated on 26 November 1787 at Essex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay.10

Birth: Many sources list his birth date as 20 June. The published Vital Records of Newbury give his birthdate as 20 July. The actually town record also states 20 July as can be seen by the exhibit attached to his birth record.
