     Benjamin Woodman was born on 3 December 1716 at Newbury, Province of Massachusetts Bay.1,2,3,4,5 He was the son of Deacon Archelaus Woodman and Hannah Swett.

Benjamin Woodman, age 29, married Lydia Phillips, daughter of James Phillips and Mary Lord, on 7 October 1746 at Wenham, Province of Massachusetts Bay.
