Alice May Burnett was born on 24 February 1905 at Holdon, Maine.1,2,3 She was the daughter of Francis William Burnett and Vera May Lord. Alice, age 5, appeared on the US Census of 1910 living at West Street, Stafford, Connecticut,in the household of her parents, Francis William and Vera May Burnett.4
Alice May Burnett, age 21, married George W. Brown, age 33 , son of George Brown, on 6 July 1926 at the Rensselaer County, New York.
As of 6 July 1929,her married name was Brown. Alice, age 24 years, and George, age 37 years, appeared on the US Census of 1930 on 5 Glendale Avenue, Northampton, Hampshire County, Massachusetts.7 Alice, age 34 years, and George, age 47 years, appeared on the US Census of 1940 on Route 66, Northampton, Hampshire County, Massachusetts.8 Alice, age 44 years, and George Burnett, age 57 years, appeared on the US Census of 1950 at Northampton, Massachusetts.9 According to the Federal Census in 1950, Alice was a presser in a shirt factory.9 She died on 6 July 1970 at Derry, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, at age 65.1,10 Alice's obituary of 8 July 1970, reads:
The funeral for Mrs. Alice M. Brown, 65, of Robbins Rd., who died Monday in Derry, N.H., was this morning from McCarthy Funeral Home with Requiem High Mass at 9 in Holy Trinity Church. Rev. Joseph Harrity officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. Bearers were: William Legere, Sr., William Legere, Jr., John and Michael Graves, Gary Jefferson and Douglas Chyz.
