Julia Kate Edgar married Raymond Edward Burnett, son of Francis William Burnett and Vera May Lord.

Julia, age 21 years, and Raymond, age 28 years, appeared on the US Census of 1940 on Branch Street, Richmond County, Georgia.6 Julia, age 31 years, and Raymond Burnett, age 38 years, appeared on the US Census of 1950 at Richmond County, Georgia.5 Julia died on 27 May 2017 at home on Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia, at age 98.2,7 Julia's obituary of 29 May 2017, reads:
Mrs. Julia K. Burnett, 98, beloved wife of the late Raymond "Pop" Burnett, entered into rest on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors this Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at 2:00 P.M. with the Reverend Jeff Irwin officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs Burnett, a native of Blythe and lifelong resident of the Augusta area, was the daughter of the late William "Bill" and Janie Newsome Edgar. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was affectionately known as "Granny" She loved to cook, would help anyone, had a giving heart and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Gloria and Tommy Reid, Tobin and Joyce Burnett, Julia and Dwight Adams, Becky and the late Bob Sharon, Tony and Mary Burnett; twelve grandchildren; thirty three great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
