     Woodrow Wilson Drillen was born on 24 August 1918 at Northampton, Massachusetts.1,2,3,4,5 He was the son of Francis William Burnett and Vera May Lord. Woodrow was adopted by Ernest Freeman Drillen, his step-father, circa 1923.6 Woodrow age 11, appeared on the US Census of 1930 on 145 Parker Street, Brewer, Maine, as a ward of the Jordan family.7 He served in the US Navy from 1937 to 1939. He later served in Air Transport Squadron 8 during World War II.3,8

Woodrow Wilson Drillen, age 20, married Mildred M. Morrison, daughter of Elmer L. Morrison and Mary Etta La Belle, on 5 November 1938 at the Bangor, Maine.

Woodrow W. Drillen and Miss Mildred M. Morrison, both of Bangor, were married Saturday evening at 7.30 o'clock at the home of Dr. Ashley A. Smith, 37 Fountain street, Dr. Smith officiated using the single ring ceremony.

Mrs. Gladys Lethbridge, sister of the bridegroom, and Norman Brown were the attendants.

Mr. and Mrs. Drillen will reside in Bangor.

Woodrow, age 21 years, and Mildred appeared on the US Census of 1940 on 9 South Park Street, Bangor, Maine.12 According to the Federal Census in 1940, Woodrow was an auto mechanic.12 Woodrow and Mildred were divorced before 1950. Woodrow, age 31 years, appeared on the US Census of 1950 on 546 Richmond Terrace, New York City, New York, with his sister, Gladys.13 According to the Federal Census in 1950, Woodrow was a roofer.13 He and Rose I Lester obtained a marriage license on 5 October 1950 at Staten Island, New York City, New York.14

Woodrow Wilson Drillen died on 2 May 1966 at Austin, Travis County, Texas, at age 47 from an occlusion of both coronary arteries by loosened debris of their hardened wall.2,3,4,16,5 Woodrow was buried at Spring Grove Cemetery, Florence, Massachusetts.2,3
