     Archibald P. Scobie was born in January 1837 at Ballymena, County Antrim, Ireland.1,2,3,4 He was the son of John Scobie.1 Archibald P. Scobie went by the nick-name of Archie. He declared his intention to become a US citizen on 15 October 1856 at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.5

Archibald P. Scobie, age 25, married Mary Robinson, age 24 , daughter of William Robinson and Rose K. Trent, on 27 April 1862.3,4,6 Archibald P. Scobie immigrated before 1870 to the United States.7 Archibald, age 33 years, and Mary Scobie, age 32 years, appeared on the US Census of 1870 at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.7 According to the Federal Census in 1870, Archibald was a drayman.7 According to the In 1873, he lived at 20 Water Street, Pittsburgh according to the 1873 Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, City Directory. He worked in a saloon, he lived in 20 Water Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1873.8 Archibald, age 43 years, and Mary Scobie, age 42 years, appeared on the US Census of 1880 at Chartiers, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.9 According to the Federal Census in 1880, Archibald was a laborer.9 Archibald Scobie, 63 years, appeared as Head of Household with an unknown person , his wife, on the United States Census of 1900 at 1524 Rives Avenue, Esplen, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.7 According to the Federal Census in 1900, Archibald was a day laborer.7 He died on 8 April 1907 at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at age 70 from a fracture at the base of the skull due to falling from wall, probably accidently.1,2,4,6 Archibald was buried on 11 April 1907 at Saint Mary Catholic Cemetery, Lawrenceville, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, in section W, lot 387, space 2.1,2,4,6
