Raymond William Gore Jr. was born on 7 May 1920 at Northampton, Massachusetts.1,2,3,4,5 He was the son of Raymond William Gore and Evelyn Porter.1 Raymond, age 9, appeared on the US Census of 1930 living at 157 Prospect Street, Hatfield, Massachusetts,in the household of his parents, Raymond William and Gore.6 Raymond, age 19, appeared on the US Census of 1940 living at Prospect Street, Hatfield, Massachusetts,in the household of his parents, Raymond William and Elizabeth Gore. He was working as a gardener.7 Raymond registered for the draft giving his age as 21 and his emplyer as the Rowe Foundry on 1 July 1941 at Hatfield, Massachusetts.5
Raymond William Gore Jr., age 21, married Bessie Louise Burnett, age 18 , daughter of Murvil Francis Burnett and Irene Francelia Eddy, on 19 July 1941 at New London, New Hampshire.
According to the 1950 US Census he was a veteran of World War II.10,4 Raymond, age 29, appeared on the US Census of 1950 living at Hatfield, Massachusetts,in the household of his parents, Raymond William and Elizabeth Gore. He was separated and worked as a mason tender for a home construction company.10
Raymond married second Mary P. Forget.4 In 1995, the year Raymond died, he lived on 192 West Street, Hatfield, Hampshire County, Massachusetts.4 He died on 2 February 1995 at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, Massachusetts, at age 74.1,3,4 Raymond's obituary of 3 February 1995, reads:

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Gore had worked at the Kelly Construction Co. in Pittsfield for many years. Until recently, he was the gardener at the People's Institute in Northampton.
He was interested in local history and genealogy, and enjoyed flowers.
He leaves his wife, Mary P. (Forget) Gore; a daughter, AnnMarie Webster of Northampton; a son, Raymond W. Gore Ill of Port Smith, Va; a brother, Gene Gore of Albany, N.Y; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m.' at the Douglass Funeral Home in Amherst. HATFIELD Raymond W. Gore Jr., 74, of 192 West St., died
