     Saville Richard Crabtre was born on 23 October 1915 at Fitchburg, Massachusetts.2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 He was the son of Saville Crabtree and Susanna Solsbury.1 Saville, age 4, appeared on the US Census of 1920 living at St. James Avenue, Holyoke, Massachusetts,in the household of his parents, Saville and Susanna Crabtree.10 Saville, age 14, appeared on the US Census of 1930 living at 97 South Street, Holyoke, Massachusetts,in the household of his parents, Susanna Crabtree ; She was a widow.11 Saville registered for the draft giving is age as 24 and his employer as the Livingston Worsted Mills. on 16 October 1940 at 146 Sargeant Street, Holyoke, Massachusetts.6 He served in the US Army during World War II having enlisted on 11 January 1941. He was discharged 11 August 1945.4,12

Saville Richard Crabtre, age 47, married Gladys Marguertie Burnett, age 49 , daughter of Francis William Burnett and Vera May Lord, on 7 December 1962 at Enfield, Connecticut.2,14,15,16 Saville Richard Crabtre died on 12 October 2002 at Holyoke, Massachusetts, at age 86.2,3,5,8,9 Saville's obituary of 14 October 2002, reads:

HOLYOKE - Saville R. Crabtree, 86, died Saturday in Holyoke Hospital. Born in Fitchburg, he was the husband of the late Gladys M. (Burnett) Crabtree.

Saville was a retired employee of the former Scott Paper Co. and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He leaves his two daughters, Nancy O'Brien and Linda LaPlante; and one e sister, Dora Parsons of East Hampton. He also leaves grandchildren.
