     Michael James Quinn was born on 7 November 1889 at Braddock, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.1,2,3 He was the son of Michael J. Quinn and CatherineA. Boyle. Michael James Quinn went by the nick-name of Mack. Michael, age 10, appeared on the US Census of 1900 living at 911 Halket Street, Braddock, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania,in the household of his parents, John Albert and CatherineA. Loew.1 Michael, age 20, appeared on the US Census of 1910 living at 735 Barker Avenue, Braddock, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania,in the household of his parents, John Albert and CatherineA. Loew. He was a hardware salesman.4 According to the Federal Census in 1910, Michael was a hardware salesman.4 Michael registered for the draft giving his age as 27 and his address as 735 Parker Street on 5 June 1917 at Braddock, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

Michael James Quinn, age 30, married Dorothy McGuire, age 28 , daughter of James Sylvester McGuire and Rose A. Trout, on 8 June 1920 at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Wilkinsburg, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

Michael and an unknown person wedding announcement of 13 June 1920, reads:

M'GUIRE-QUINN.

The marriage of Miss Dorothy R. McGuire of South Braddock avenue to Michael J. Quinn of Parker avenue, Braddock, took place Tuesday morning in St. James Roman Catholic Church, Wilkinsburg. Mr. and Mrs. Quinn are traveling in the East, and, upon their return, will make their home in Pittsburgh.

Michael, age 40 years, and Dorothy, age 38 years, appeared on the US Census of 1930 on 265 Maple Avenue, Edgewood, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.6 According to the Federal Census in 1930, Michael was a hardware merchant.6 Michael registered for the draft giving his age as 52., his address as William Penn Highway, and that he was self-employed in 1942 at Wilkinsburg, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He died on 15 April 1946 at Western Pennsylvania Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at age 56 from a ruptured abdominal aneurism.2,3,7 Michael's obituary of 17 April 1946, reads:

MICHAEL J. QUINN
Funeral services for Michael J. Quinn, 56, Braddock merchant, who died Monday night in West Penn will be held at 10 Hospital, a. m. Friday in St. James Church, Wilkinsburg. Interment will be in Braddock Catholic cemetery. Friends are being received at the Limbacher. Funeral Home, Braddock. Mr. Quinn was the owner of a hardware company and a motor supply company in Braddock. He was a past president and a. charter member of the Braddock Rotary Club. His home.
